Is Juliacon housing favouring students?

Continuing the discussion from [JuliaCon] Housing is now available for purchase for JuliaCon 2025!:

The Juliacon housing looks like a great deal, even just for the social / logistic aspect. However:

We have reserved a limited number of apartments with University of Pittsburgh Housing at a highly discounted rate relative to nearby hotels.

@rayegun Should that be read as “If you have the means to buy a hotel, please do so to leave space for students?”

I would prefer at least a few hints towards hotels in reasonable distance. Any ideas would be welcome. My travel budget has allocated parts for that and I do not want to “steal” student accommodations.
