Internship opportunity: energy systems modelling with Julia at OECD-NEA, Paris area
The OECD Nuclear Energy Agency is looking for an intern to work in the Division of Nuclear Technology and Economics on system costs modelling.
Recent OECD-NEA work in this area includes this report on least-cost capacity mixes for decarbonized electricity systems in Sweden:
This work uses Nosy.jl, our energy systems optimization toolkit developed in Julia:
The goal of the internship is to benchmark Nosy against other energy systems models, comparing modelling approaches, assumptions, outputs, and computational performance.

has experience in energy systems modelling;
-
has a good understanding of linear optimization;
-
has experience with Julia - this is required;
-
has experience with Python - this is a plus;
-
is interested in electricity systems, capacity expansion, system costs, and low-carbon energy transitions.
