Happy New Year!

We all know that 2018 is going to be amazing for the Julia Community. Let us remember to be supportive and work towards the common goal of advancing scientific computing to the next level.

2017 was a great year in Julia for me: I got to do some work on JuliaNLSolvers I had wanted to do in a long time, I got to join JuliaCon, worked on weird floating point details I had never heard about, and much more.

So, thanks and see you in 2018!

I do hope it will be!
I’m hoping to be able to attend JuliaCon 2018 in London myself, and have been incredibly impressed by a lot of the major improvements in v0.7!

I’d also hope that we can work towards advancing general programming as well - I feel that it would be a crying shame if Julia’s great strengths are only known in the field of technical/numeric/scientific computing.
