Title: GSoC 2025 Interest - Turing Gibbs Sampler Project
Hi Julia community!
I’m Anurag, a CS undergrad interested in applying for
GSoC 2025 with Turing, specifically the
“AbstractMCMC-based Gibbs Sampler” project.
My existing contributions to the Julia ecosystem:
- StatsBase: HSM mode PR (pending)
- TimeSeries: 2 merged documentation PRs (PR1 and PR2)
- DataFrames: Bug fix for stack() error message (pending)
I’m currently studying AbstractMCMC and Gibbs
sampling to prepare. I’d love any guidance on:
- Good first issues to tackle in Turing
- Any resources to better understand the codebase
