Is this a viable feature request? It would be nice if we could just do using MyPackage again or something, instead of having to use a new OS process just to be able to, e.g., use the package with a changed static preference (Preferences.jl).

Revise can do this. And we used to have a reload function too, but it got lost in the code shuffle at some point and never got re-added. No reason though that it couldn’t be re-added
