I am trying to figure out how to do a bar plot, but cannot find any more documentation than Bar · Plots which mostly tells me that it exists.
I tried Bar plots · GMT but get different results, but maybe GMT and Plots are different.

Indeed those are different Packages.
There is more documention on bar plots in the api section and in the customization example.
