I monitor the “New” page on Julia Discourse often.
If I have time to “graze” more Julia I then go to the “Latest” page and take a look at topics that meet the following criteria:
- Are there unread messages in the topic?
- Is there at least one reply to the topic?
This seems to work for me as a reasonable efficient way to catch up with julia discourse and background that I don’t have time to view on a daily basis.
I end up doing a lot of scrolling down the “Latest” page to find messages to read.
It would be nice if there were a display option to hide the topics that I have already viewed. The functionality might be useful enough to add as a toggle on pages at discourse generally.
