Oh certainly! I just am not as familiar with how to best interpret it in the context of EEG analysis at the moment.

A lot of EEG processing is actually just doing simple stuff like this and pulling out he appropriate output. There’s also a bit of experience helps here. For example, you don’t want to do something like ICA until you get rid of bad electrodes since it will negatively influence the ICA output and can be easily identified visually. Lots of stuff like that seem like common sense when we discuss it but it’s easy to overlook when there are many of these steps along the way.

You are right. I do ICA mostly to remove some well defined and repetitive artifacts, e.g. eye blinks or ECG QRS peaks.
