This seems like it’s the essence of the question in Using begin ... end in Julia, where you’ve given more details… so I’ll close it in favor of that one. But really, in both cases here, these so wide-open that they’re verging on a “code-it-for-me” sort of question. I encourage you to find and ask more concrete questions — ideally with code that demonstrates where you are stuck.
