I wrote a blog post about how Julia makes it possible to maintain a tight connection between the code and the written equations of a model, without sacrificing speed.
The goal was to demonstrate an approach I use to strike a balance between these aspects. Although the post uses an example from Economics, I tried my best to make it as generalizable as possible for users of other fields.
