Being informed about new registered packages and releases

Oh and Here’s to wishing you luck (again) with Juliaobserver.com 504 error ( gateway timeout ) .

And here’s a first shot at the issue per Amazon AWS AWS offers solution to resolve 504 Errors with Cloudfront CDN

If the site has been hacked down what is Amazons AWS SLA to restore service ?

So again Good Luck and message me if I can help you.

Hi Stefan,

Thank You - So I took you advice and dug around pkg.julialang.org a bit more and yes it is quite helpful at times;

but I think the UI search results display could easily improve for the following use cases >>

update example where searching pkg.julialang.org (IF in a HURRY)

KWS: DimensionalityReduction at a glance appears to return ZERO 0 documents, but in fact there is 20 in EXAMPLE CODE

AND here is an example of Vice Versa , namely KWS: calculate directly the eigenvectors of the covariance matrix - has 1207 DOCS but 0 ZERO example Code

So Stefan , suggest rejigger the javascript a bit to select the tab with the largest number of search engine results is automatically selected or automatically “receives focus” in web page talk and here’s a link to the relevant JQuery javascript https://forum.jquery.com/topic/open-specific-tab-when-page-is-load .

And as you might guess from my Keyword Searchs /KWS above that I’m more about the Scientific Computing features of Julia than web site development per se, but you are Uber helpful and wear cool helmets  so I’d be glad to mock up the JQuery for you if you’d like Stefan.

… Now about your search engine KWS results  I am very happy using Recoll UI and Xapian database which comes prepackaged with Ubuntu Linux

Thanks for the feedback! I haven’t written JavaScript since 2005, but I’ll pass it along to those who do.

Hi everybody

Finally what is the best way to follow the last registered packages on Julia ?
I sent a monthly letter for french people (https://pnavaro.github.io/NouvellesJulia) and I used https://twitter.com/JuliaPackages but it does not work anymore …
I tried to read the last issues on JuliaRegister but it is not easy.

JuliaObserver does not work either …

Thanks for your help

You could use one of these: New package feeds on Zulip and Slack!

I think Julia Packages does what I want. I don’t use Slack or Zulip, I’m already on a lot of Mattermost channels and it is too much for me

Thanks

We list the ten most recently registered/updated packages on JuliaHub, too… but we don’t (currently) have a page that shows more than that.

There’s also Package Announcements… and somewhat relatedly you may want to team up with @Krastanov in Newsletter
