Some love Julia for its speed. Some love it for its scientific computing packages. Some love it because the people are nice. But we love it for one reason and one reason only: because it makes our gradients go brrrrr
Are you a developer, user, connoisseur, or just a hater of automatic differentiation? Then please submit a talk to our JuliaCon 2025 mini-symposium: “Towards a synthesis of automatic differentiation algorithms”.
We welcome contributions ranging from theory to practice, from mathematics to software engineering, including applications to physics, chemistry and other fields. Come tell us what problems you have faced with autodiff, and how you overcame them (or not). Let’s bring the community together and figure out what challenges we will face next!
Gentle reminder: only one week left to submit proposals Go to this page for details on the procedure, and don’t hesitate to reach out to the organizing team (@brianguenter, @wsmoses, @willtebbutt, @hill and myself) if you aren’t sure whether your work is a good fit!
