Is anybody using the ESDL format (ESDL Documentation - ESDL, Meer Informatie)?
I noticed that it is not as widespread outside of the Netherlands, but it looks very useful:
ESDL is a modelling language created to describe complete (hybrid) energy systems in one uniform format. It allows to describe information about the individual energy system components, how they are connected, how they are used (e.g. using energy production or consumption profiles), where they are physically located (on the map), what they cost (now and in future).
I just started a project that involves reading their data format to create our JuMP models, and there is nothing in Julia yet. If anybody dealt with this (e.g. hacking a Python interop or starting a dedicated Python package), it would be very useful for us.
