At JuliaCon 2019 in Baltimore, we announced the winners of the 2019 Julia Community Prize. The prize bestows a certificate and a cash award of USD 1000. Out of many amazing and deserving nominations, the judges chose the following winners:

For her teaching, outreach, and community stewardship
Mike Innes
For spearheading the machine learning ecosystem with Flux
Jacob Quinn
For contributions to the data ecosystem and core language
We also announced a best poster award. Courtesy of NVIDIA, the winners get an NVIDIA Jetson Nano single board computer. The winners for the JuliaCon 2019 best poster are:
- “Designing a t-Shirt for JuliaCon” by Cormullion and David Sanders
- “Tackling Stochastic Delay Problems in Julia” by Henrik Sykora
