Weird environmental issue with ModelingToolkit

I am facing a weird environmental issue in solving an SDESystem using modelingtoolkit in Pluto. It was working fine untill today and it started giving this UndefVarError shown below. It started when I accidentally interrupted a cell after starting the notebook. I removed the General registry and updated packages several times. I restarted Julia session several times.

You need to share a way to reproduce it. Is it only in Pluto?

Yes, I was playing around with it in Pluto. Should I convert it into normal code file and share with you?

Pluto notebooks are just Julia files. But I’m also curious if it’s Pluto-specific.

I can check that by running it on VSCode. I have pinned down the location of the error though. I am generating an ODESystem using structural_simplify

sys = structural_simplify(WTA_model)

and converting it directly to SDESystem by adding noiseeqs

@named sys_sde = SDESystem(sys,noiseeqs)

Now, when I run just the ODESystem before adding noise as an ODEProblem it is running just fine.

prob1 = ODEProblem(sys,u0,(0.0,simtime))
sol = solve(prob1,SOSRI(),saveat = 0.01,reltol=1e-4,abstol=1e-4)

but oly when I run th SDESystem obtained fromthe ODESystem I am getting the error.
prob1 = SDEProblem(sys_sde,u0,(0.0,simtime))

I think the direct conversion from ODESystem to SDESystem is not happening correctly. Also, this problem happened after I updated MTK to 8.4.1, not sure if that’s the problem.

@ChrisRackauckas it turns out that it is a bug with MTK 8. It works fine with MTK 7.1.3. I can raise an issue in the MTK repo but do I need to share my code file or just explain where the error is coming like I did here.

You’ll need to share an example that reproduces the issue.
