Updating Makie to Julia v1.12.1

I am trying to update to Julia 1.12.1 from 1.11.3 and have been running into a persistent error

LoadError: FieldError: type Core.TypeName has no field `mt

This is while updating packages after updating Julia to 1.12.1 and only for Makie packages
Background Info:
CairoMakie was working in v1.11.3 and in v1.12
reverted back to those versions with same error
Using vsCodium latest version
Only affects Makie Packages

Have tried so far:
rm CairoMakie and reinstall
uninstalled vsCodium using Wise Program Uninstaller to remove all traces of old version
reinstalled vsCodium to most recent version from vsCodium website
removed and reinstalled the Julia extension in VS Codium
side note: the Julia Extension keeps crashing but after that everything works as expected except the above. This has been reported to the extension team several times.
used build instead of add
reinstalled Julia

I have run out of remedies that I can think of or find. Anyone much smarter than myself have a solution?

Makie works for me on 1.12.1 so I suspect that you would have some old package that still fails.
Can you do st --outdated in the package mode to see which packages might need to be updated and why this is not working?

Also what is your environment?

Environment is Julia 1.12.1

using Pkg
Pkg.status()

Solved:

I went into User\App Data
and deleted the past installations of Julia( going all the way back to 1.4) and then deleted the Artifacts folder

then went to \Packages and deleted CairoMakie, Cairo, Makie, and a couple others with the term Makie in it

restarted Julia and after reinstalling a few packages CairoMakie precompliled.
