Transparent gif

Is there a way to prepare a gif with transparent background?
When I am trying it now using background_color=:transparent I get that the gif does not reset the image between frames.

Just a stab at the dark, try using colors with a transparency channel: RGBA(0, 0, 1, 0.5)
