TFire backtesting

OK, so not really a package but I didn’t know where else to put it.
I’ve been developing a backtesting software made with Julia and distributed basically as a sysimage with the REPL included.
You can read up on it and download the beta here: testfiresoftware.com

But it’s not. You can see I’ve been a member here for a long time.

OK, than sorry, but a text leading to click on an https://testfiresoftware.com/ address, you’ll have to agree that is suspicious.

Yes I agee  No harm done. It’s also of course a bit suspicious to download a random zip file from there. However, anyone curious can just have a look att the documentation etc and then make up their mind. The risk then is zero.

I don’t see how this is clickbait - as far as I can tell the link does exactly what OP says it does.

Congrats on the beta release, would be great to see some more quant finance uptake in Julia!

Yeah, we don’t have a prohibition against non-free software here, but caution when downloading arbitrary executables is always warranted — even if it’s nominally open source!

I think this sort of announcement is just fine to make here, even if it’s not a package per se.
