Apparently discourse supports polls

So let’s test this! Did you know that this is possible?

  • Yes, this is an old hat to me.
  • Whoa! We can do that?

It is even possible to make votes public. For example if one wants a straw poll whether consensus is reached on some point.

  • Yes, that will come in handy!
  • Nope, this is a bad idea. I value my privacy.

I could go either way on whether votes are public. It probably depends on the subject. But most polls should probably default to private votes. (I mean, creators of polls should default to using private votes unless necessary.)
