Surface plot with gaps in data

I’m preparing a rather large data set of x, y, z coordinates that I’d like to visualize using Makie surface plot. However, I do not have z coordinates for all (x, y) coordinates, that is, there is a gap in my data. Is it still possible to plot surface plot with part of the surface missing, or am I required to obtain all z coordinates for the complete x by y grid before I can plot?

Should be fine if you have NaN for missing data.
