Suggestion: Fortran-like Keyword to Assert Function is Pure

The difference between Julia and Fortran is that Julia’s compiler is not entirely potato.

There is 68 years of efforts by thousands of experts and major vendors like IBM, Intel, Cray, NVIDIA, NAG, … behind the Fortran compilers. I doubt if any one of them have been potato for decades as you say, unless you provide evidence for such claims.
