Looks like a value function iteration to me, in my thesis I parallelised this using SharedArrays which worked pretty well running on a local machine with 16 cores and larger university clusters - have a look at the repo which might be helpful if you’re coding up life cycle models! (NB the code was written on 0.5 but should run fine under 0.6)
