Problems upgrading Makie

Hi all

I’m currently losing the will to live with this. Though I’m probably just overlooking something obvious. I’m trying to update Makie.jl to the latest version. But I get the following error:

ERROR: Unsatisfiable requirements detected for package Makie [ee78f7c6]:
 Makie [ee78f7c6] log:
 ├─possible versions are: [0.9.0-0.9.6, 0.10.0, 0.11.0-0.11.2, 0.12.0] or uninstalled
└─restricted to versions 0.18.12 by an explicit requirement — no versions left

Have tried removing registries/General, and the whole registries folder. The error does not name a package that is blocking the upgrade. So should I just be looking through my installed packages to find likely candidates?

We want to clean this up in the future, but right now Makie is pretty much an empty shell, that doesn’t get updated as regularly… It’s preferred to use the backends directly and just uninstall Makie.jl for now:

That makes a lot of sense! Thanks.
So the docs version refers to the version of AbstractPlotting?

If you refer to that section:

These docs were autogenerated using:

AbstractPlotting: v0.18.2
GLMakie: v0.2.9
CairoMakie: v0.4.5

Yes, those are the versions for the named packages
