Are you perhaps running into the dreaded issue 15276? That issue in particular has been known to cause performance issues due to the closures created by the @threads macro (e.g. Slowdown when multi-threading is used or Type inference for parallel computing or `@threads` with `@simd` performance regression on `0.7.0-alpha` - #2 by raminammour )
