A few years ago, I made an optimizer for a fun minigame in Minecraft.
Now, it is much more optimized.
What changed:
A nicer reformulation that works better under relaxation.
Can now be more easily repaired.
Added a few heuristics
Now the tradeoff is that the relaxation and solution interpretation aren’t good yet, and there needs to be some manual repair, but so far, the solution looks good, and I think it can be optimized and refined a bit more.
