Linux generic binaries for 0.7 and 1.0 problem: "version `GLIBC_2.12' not found"

Hi,

we have SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 (x86_64) (VERSION = 11, PATCHLEVEL = 3) on our server and I tried to run the generic binaries for linux on it, getting the following error for both 0.7.0 and 1.0.0:

/lib64/libpthread.so.0: version `GLIBC_2.12' not found (required by /data/to068372/src/julia-0.7.0/bin/../lib/julia/libLLVM-6.0.so)

I don’t have any problems with julia 0.6.2 though.

Can I do something about it? I don’t have sudo on that server.
