JuliaCon Local Paris 2025 has received nearly 100 submissions, thank you so much for your enthusiasm! While we’re busy reviewing your proposals, it’s time to open applications for attendee funding.
The organizing committee will award a limited number of grants to conference participants, in two categories. Recipients might receive a discounted ticket and/or partial reimbursements related to their participation in the conference. These opportunities are reserved for people who cannot afford to attend JuliaCon without financial assistance.
- Diversity scholarships are meant for community members who identify as underrepresented in science, computing, or the Julia community across one or more axes such as gender, race, sexuality, education and socioeconomic boundaries. Attendees do not need to have submitted a proposal to qualify for funding.
- Speaker funding is meant for community members who have submitted a proposal, regardless of identity. If selected, funding will be awarded provided that the speaker’s proposal has been accepted to the conference. If you are a speaker, you can apply for funding.
The same form, with identifying questions, will be used for both categories and the organizers will determine which form of funding, if any, can be provided. Please be truthful in your answers so that we can help as many people attend the conference as possible! The deadline for answering is July 1st, 2025.
