Hey everyone, we’re still looking for reviewers for JuliaCon, so if you think you’ll have some time in about two weeks, sign up!
How much Julia experience would you expect reviewers to have?
How do we tell if we already submitted an application…?
You did.
Any idea how likely is it that JuliaCon gets cancelled? A lot of events have been. Starting a couple weeks ago, my employer has required everyone work remotely and cancelled all non-critical travel.
While I would spend vacation time to go, given the risks and looming possibility of cancellation, I’m not eager to buy airplane tickets just yet.
Was wondering if anyone could provide insight.
They will switch to a virtual event if needed: JuliaCon goes Virtual!
Edit: I realize that doesn’t help answer the “how likely” question or help with airline tickets though. Sorry!
Is it free to submit a presentation for the virtual event?
Do you have references for reviewers. I wouldn’t feel comfortable scoring someone’s work without some concrete examples to ensure I’m being fair.
