The Julia developers are pleased to announce the release of v1.8.4, the fourth patch release in the 1.8 stable series. You can download binaries at https://julialang.org/downloads in the “current stable release” section. Binaries are available for the following platforms, listed here by support tier:

- macOS x86_64 (Intel or Rosetta)

As a patch release, 1.8.4 contains no new features or breaking changes, only bug fixes, documentation improvements, and performance improvements. You can see the list of commits included since 1.8.3 here. We recommend that anyone currently using an earlier 1.8 version upgrade to 1.8.4.

on GitHub Actions, Travis, AppVeyor, and Cirrus now refer to 1.8.4.
