I see. So currently your patch for null-checks is in limbo (since 2 years), and carnaval’s patch is likely to be too expensive until your patch gets merged, and is hence in limbo as well (since 1 year)?

Is there anything people could do to help on this? From outside it looks like all the problems are solved already, and this is a problem of organizational inertia, not code. Whining on the forums/github is unlikely to help, though
