How to check which package is preventing updates

Is there a way to check which package is preventing the updates for other packages? The old discussion here uses REQUIRE which is no longer applies since now julia has switched to toml. Does Pkg have a

Found a workaround by e.g. ]add DifferentialEquations@6.8.0 and read the error log.
