GLMakie running on WSLg

Hello,

Tried the following on a whim, thought I’d mention it in passing.

After the most recent WSLg [Windows Subsystem for Linux] release, GLMakie now compiles, runs, and displays images.

Tested with some 2D plots and the Makie front-page Lorenz attractor code.

> wsl --version
WSL version: 0.70.4.0
Kernel version: 5.15.68.1
WSLg version: 1.0.45
MSRDC version: 1.2.3575
Direct3D version: 1.606.4
DXCore version: 10.0.25131.1002-220531-1700.rs-onecore-base2-hyp
Windows version: 10.0.22623.870

Previously, GLMakie failed to compile due to only an older OpenGL version
being supported. At least this was the case on my system.

Yup! It’s pretty amazing. On windows 11 I also had to do nothing at all and it just worked without problems  Has been like that for a couple of months I think!
With NVIDIA GPUs at least, it’s even fully hardware accelerated from the start:
