This tool is really helping me a lot in those two packages! I will be able to improve them, fix bugs, and add new features in a way I would never have been able to. For example, the time to print the first table in PrettyTables.jl (text backend) was reduced by 50%. The reason was a type instability that I would probably never catch myself.
Would it be relevant to remind people of the “discourse” on the use of agentic coding output only a few short months ago, in this thread?

You know Julia is only pro LLM language I am seeing after all or any of the other languages, simple to code and read so it is fun generating and moderating the code
That sounds nice – please use it carefully and responsibly.
For the general scheme that is coming up here again: One reason I stopped being that active here in Discourse is (a) I am overwhelmed by AI slop – from students, from colleagues, in reviews I get, in people telling me I should use it more,…yet those I also get AI slopped – that I am super super super tired of people telling me to use more AI.
IF people would start using AI responsibly
do not annoy people that everyone should use it
do not annoy everyone that I should spent more money on AIs (those super duper rich Tech Bros ar not yet rich enough!) otherwise it would not work
do not take things personal if I criticise AI as if I criticise their religion (I think by now it is one)
do not annoy people with slop PRs – I personally have enough of these by now.
So while everyone is preaching this to me – I really only very seldom see responsible use of AI (and whether that is on paid plans, I then simply do not know).
We need more social responsibility both for how these LLMs are provided/run and how they are used.
And no worries – I also do not get grants currently, so additionally to me getting silent now again here, I am als not attending JuliaCon for lack of funding. Also in academia, you only get funding if you preach to the Tech Bros.
