Hi, I’m a research engineer at MIT Haystack Observatory, and I’ve been writing programs for more than 40 years, so you can tell I do this for fun. I’m a jack of all trades (you name it and I’ll figure out how to program it) but earn my pay mostly for embedded code. I’m new to Julia, in fact, when I first heard Julia, I thought it was Linda and tuples, and that language from the late '80’s of the last century had finally taken off. Anyway, the goal is, to put Julia in a small, fast, low power, low cost computer, close to sensors in a distributed sensor network to do interesting science. I.e. edge processing.
