I am an Associate Professor of Physics at the University of Southern Maine. I created and have been teaching the first computational physics course in the state, starting with C many years ago, and then switching to python. I am currently working on a grant (from NASA: “A Computationally Integrated Physics Curriculum”) to introduce computational problems into all our upper level courses. I have been watching Julia’s evolution and have finally decided to jump in and simultaneously develop pedagogical problem set questions in Python and in Julia.
