After I have heard and read about the Julia language, some points look very interesting, concerning Julia my main interests are:

Some number crunching if my desktop computer is idle.
For this purpose, at first I want to transform a math algorithm to Julia, then the next step would be - in case that transformed algorithm is up und running - to expand it for multi-threading in Julia. I expect that trying to achieve this will not be easy, but I’m willing to learn what is to do for reaching my goal and at the end being able to say “Hey it’s done”. Independent of this I want to visualize some patterns of digits in the two math constants π (Pi) and Euler’s number e.
