I started in the data processing industry in 1965 fixing IBM punch card machines. Did the same thing in Vietnam. Learned programming with octal code on programmable calculators working for Monroe. Moved up to BASIC when Monroe offered a CP/M single board computer, then dBaseII. Went independent in 1982. Took on SCO Xenix with FoxBase in 1986 and produced a payroll package for payroll processing companies that I still work on today. Never got further advanced than FoxPlus and SCO OpenServer 6.0.0 Now I am learning Julia to put this package on while supporting my user base.
