# X2 Research internship offers (master level) in Montpellier (France)

I am looking for two master students in Applied Mathematics (in a broad sense) for internships starting in Feb 2025 (flexible).
- One on **Model informed deep learning to forecast water quality in lakes**. It will use being the scene the SciML ecosystem to integrate partially know ```physics’’ models with deep learning architectures. - The second one will be about **Stochastic Weather Generators to evaluate climate change impact on apples**. A stochastic weather generator, such as [StochasticWeatherGenerators.jl](https://github.com/dmetivie/StochasticWeatherGenerators.jl), is a statistical model used to generate realistic weather series, it is used to study climate variability in particular extremes. In this project, it will be coupled with models describing the growth of fruits such as apples or vines to evaluate in particular the future impact of climate change. In both internships, no prior knowledge of the applications i.e. lakes and fruit modeling is needed.

The internship will take place at the lab MISTEA - INRAE in the center of Montpellier.

However, this is an **in person** internship (in Montpellier France).
