I reproduced the issue with setting
set JULIA\_COPY\_STACKS=1
as you did in

> [@Taro package ... what is this JULIA\_COPY\_STACKS?](https://discourse.julialang.org/t/taro-package-what-is-this-julia-copy-stacks/35417):
>
> Setting JULIA\_COPY\_STACKS 1 or yes, make Taro package working … but it breaks the REPL of Juno, that doesn’t load Julia … What is this JULIA\_COPY\_STACKS ? how can i use Taro package without breaking the juno REPL ? julia\> import Taro ┌ Warning: JavaCall needs the environment variable `JULIA_COPY_STACKS` to be `1` or `yes`. │ Calling the JVM may result in undefined behavior. └ @ JavaCall C:\Users\dario\.julia\packages\JavaCall\0wJQZ\src\JavaCall.jl:38

So, you should remove this environment variable again.

Than I created a new julia environment to check Taro.jl and added it without any problem:

```julia
(v1.3) pkg> activate .
Activating new environment at `C:\Users\USER\.julia\environments\Taro\Project.toml`
(Taro) pkg> add Taro.jl
