# What happened to shift! unshift! on collections

Hello,

I have some notes about julia and there are supposed to be functions called `shift!` and `unshift!` on arrays. However in julia 1.6 environment, I receive error. There are no reference in the documentation. Are there available functions in place of them?

I think they were renamed to `popfirst!` and `pushfirst!` a few years ago (for Julia 1.0).
