One of my advisors is considering transitioning towards Julia from a traditional HPC background using C++ and Python. After a couple days playing around, he seems quite impressed by the flexibility of Julia’s type system. But, he hasn’t done any “serious numerical work” (his words), and he is wonder…

After trying out JET.jl thoroughly in a larger project, I find that it doesn’t really help much. I still find a lot of “not found” errors only by covering the specific code (i.e., JET.jl missed them) that in C/C++ would have lighted up while I type… :disappointed:

Hmm, maybe you can try CodeSpell for VSCode (I think that’s what it’s called) or some other spell checker? I think @Lilith just added one to Julia’s CI.

Gamezero has the user define the update function, but not the game loop itself, which is problematic in a sense that YOU CAN’T FIND OR CONTROL how long it takes between updates!
