# What does "Accum" mean in Makie

What does “[Accum](https://makie.juliaplots.org/dev/documentation/api_reference/index.html#Accum)” mean in Makie or Julia? Does it stand for accumulative? Because transformation and rotation accumulates when transforming relatively?

Yes one can use it as a first argument so that `translate!` and `rotate!` and `scale!` combine with the current transform instead of overwrite it.
