I only used amalgamate in my example because it is such a bad name that I thought it was clear that it wouldn’t be used. I will be more careful about context going forward and not count on 
to indicate such.
Honestly append is closer to correct but it’s sort of taken. It could be a derivative like append_all or vcat_all.
