# Using SNOPT in Julia

Hi All!  
I have been trying to set up the optimization package SNOPT in Julia.  
I tried with [SNOW.jl](https://flow.byu.edu/SNOW.jl/index.html), and [SNOPT.jl](https://github.com/byuflowlab/Snopt.jl) but I did not succeed to set up the packages and get them to work.  
I tried in Linux (Ubuntu).  
Does anyone know how to set things up?  
Linux or Windows tips are all very welcome.

P.S. [SNOPT](https://ccom.ucsd.edu/~optimizers/solvers/snopt/) is an optimization software written in Fortran. Once purchased, as I did, one receives the fortran source files.

The authors of SNOPT wrote [GitHub - snopt/SNOPT7.jl: Julia interface for SNOPT7](https://github.com/snopt/SNOPT7.jl) some time ago, but unfortunately, it seems to be unmaintained. A solid Julia interface to SNOPT would be a great asset.
