# Use of "export" keyword

What is the actual use of keyword “ **export** ” ? I have read julia documentation , but not very clear.  
What if we dont use **export** at all?

If you don’t use `export`, nothing will be exported.

Just to have a fast answer here in the thread itself: if you do not `export` anything from a module then `using` the module will not bring anything from the module (besides the module itself) in the current scope, i.e., you will need to type `ModuleName.function_name` for everything.
