# Unable to build 0.6.4 from master on OSX 10.12.6, libtool

I keep running into these problems:

[0%] Linking CXX static library …/libLLVMSupport.a  
Usage: /usr/local/bin/libtool [OPTION]… [MODE-ARG]…

libtool: error: unrecognised option: ‘-static’

The configurations are:  
host-triplet: x86\_64-apple-darwin16.7.0  
shell: /bin/sh  
compiler: gcc  
compiler flags: -g -O2  
linker: /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Toolchains/XcodeDefault.xctoolchain/usr/bin/ld (gnu? no)  
version: libtool (GNU libtool) 2.4.6  
automake: automake (GNU automake) 1.15  
autoconf: autoconf (GNU Autoconf) 2.69

I have installed awk, cmake, curl, gcc, gpatch, m4, make, perl, pkg-config, and python with homebrew.  
Please help!
