# Typst and other alternatives to LaTeX

Oh I know, I was being intentionally cheeky 😉. You’re certainly correct. That said…

I think this is less likely in this case. Could be wrong, but I think typst is like the Julia of typesetting. Not saying it will ever match LaTeX’s dominance (despite being unambiguously superior already), but I also think it has staying power.

That looks really useful, though I wonder if you’ve looked at PrettyTables.jl - with the [new re-write](https://discourse.julialang.org/t/current-state-and-the-future-of-prettytables-jl/118455), it might be able to handle everything you need.

Then again, PrettyTables does _a lot_ and there’s certainly something to be said for a small, focused package that just does one thing well
