# Trying to build Julia, downloaded file checksum failure

I’m trying to build julia myself from 1.2.0 so I can play with the parser. (If there’s an easier way to just do that, please let me know 🙂 )

‘make’ is downloading a file and it fails with a reported checksum failure, but the checksum expected and actual are identical. I’m trying this on Windows Subsystem for Linux, so could be an issue there.

Any thoughts on how to resolve this?

Looks like Linux/Windows crud. Removed the newline from the checksum file and it got past that step. Ah well.

Partial fix:

```julia
dos2unix *.*
dos2unix */*.*
dos2unix */*/*.*
dos2unix */*/*/*.*
dos2unix */*/*/*/*.*
dos2unix */*/*/*/*/*.*
dos2unix */*/*/*/*/*/*.*
dos2unix */*/*/*/*/*/*/*.*
dos2unix */*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*.*
dos2unix */*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*.*
dos2unix */*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*.*
dos2unix */*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*.*
dos2unix */*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*.*

```

Now I’m stuck with this error:

```julia

I put up [https://github.com/JuliaLang/julia/pull/30753](https://github.com/JuliaLang/julia/pull/30753) but then it disappeared but then it came back, heh.
