Is there a “standard” implementation of traits at the moment? Something which is aligned with the future of traits in Julia?

And by the way, what IS the future of traits in Julia?

Sorry, I can mark only one of the responses as the solution, but both are in fact solutions to parts of my question. Thank you very much, those pointers look useful.
