# Suggestion: Keep release thread open

Personally, I very much like separate topics like [(For what) is NASA using Julia?](https://discourse.julialang.org/t/for-what-is-nasa-using-julia/139335) and [Congrats for Julia 1.13!](https://discourse.julialang.org/t/congrats-for-julia-1-13/139343) over having those responses hidden in the #Announcements topic.

Those messages aren’t automated! And I think that’s also part of it; Alex and Kristoffer would get inundated with notifications as the original poster, too… asking _them directly_ how to update.
